DLT Priority Support SMS FAQ's
DLT stands for Distributed Ledger Technology. In the context of telecommunications, it is used to authenticate and verify the identity of message senders on a network, ensuring the delivery of legitimate SMS content.
DLT registration is mandated by the TRAI (Telecom Regulatory Authority of India) to ensure transparency and prevent the misuse of bulk SMS services. It allows telecom operators to identify and block spam, fraudulent, or unauthorized messages.
You can register your entity, brand, and templates on the DLT portal provided by your telecom operator or the TRAI. This process typically involves submitting your business details, brand information, and any message templates you intend to use.
For DLT registration, you typically need:
- Business Registration (e.g., Certificate of Incorporation or GST Registration).
- Authorized Signatory Proof (e.g., Aadhaar or Passport).
- PAN Card of the business.
- Brand Registration (if applicable, such as a trademark certificate).
- Brand Name (matching your communication).
- Letter of Authorization (if a third party is registering on your behalf).
